2.5 stars. Audiobook. This book was fine. It wasn’t bad, but there are other books out there with the same sort of characters, plot, stories etc. that are just better written.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.
I’m sorry but I cannot finish this. Audiobook. Time of death at about 50%. It’s just very poorly written. I’m pulling out my hair.

This was fine. I’ve read better mystery novels and didn’t think this one had any good plot twists nor a satisfying ending.

Audiobook. His editor really needed to tell him to stop using the same phrases over and over again. “I’m living in a saga song. “Battle fame” “Thought-cage.” Enough! It seemed like the only way to move the plot forward was with fighting and violence. I know that’s Vikings for ya but I could have used something else. I’m also absolutely livid with some characters and things that happened but don’t want to give spoilers. I will not be reading book three.
