The Melody of You and Me by M. Hollis

A cute, LGBTQ novella. Pretty basic narrative, bit all in all soooo adorable.
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz

I probably have a really unpopular opinion about this book, but that is irrelevant. This book is so edgy, flat, far-fetched and annoying that I cannot help but think why people label it as their 'all time favourite'.
It was sweet. Really sweet. Utterly sweet. And it is a part of the LGBTQ books. But thr way it is written? So dreary with zero character development and unrealistic elements. Parents cannot possibly act like that, unfortunately, no matter how open minded or kind they are; really. There were times when Ari's replies were making me mad; how could a parent or anyone else laugh it off? Also, they were 18 but I swear to God, Aristotle clearly doesn't live up to his name. Not a bright lad. At all.
Two stars because the writing and the story are awfully dull, Ari is an edgier version of Holden Caulfield and the fact that the theme is Latin LGBTQ doesn't automatically turn the book into a masterpiece. And I cannot get over it.

DNF-ed at the middle. Life's too short for such stupid and cliché and annoying stories.
