every time something mentions red flags and rose colored glasses, i think of bojack horseman and whether or not that poem idea came from that.

also, i love this cover

i personally didn't really connect to anything in this book, but at least it's not Adultolescence.

there were a couple pieces that i liked and that were memorable

wow wow wow. some of the poems are actually really bad.

i was really curious about this book since the author is not very well liked on the internet, and i decided to give it a chance since i need to acomplish my reading goal lol

overall, a lot of the ideas are half baked and lazy. i wish there were more to it. i think maybe a handful of the poems are actually not bad, but it's clouded by the poems that are so lazy and seem like 2010s tweets or tumblr posts.

there's literally a poem about rushing the writing of the poems due to a deadline and i simply just disagree with that. if you don't have enough poems to write a poetry book, don't write one. i feel like you should only write a poetry book if you already have most of it done. forcing poetry is why this book exists and it's painful

some of the poems were actually so cute and relatable. i didn't love or relate to everything, but the book as a whole is cohesive and a good read
