The Six Deaths of the Saint by Alix E. Harrow
5.0
6 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This may be the best thing I have ever read in my entire life.
I— I have no words.
No notes, 10 out of 10.
Bury me with this.
Reread this story as an audiobook, and I’m so happy to say it still lives up. Actually— make this a 7 star book for me.

The Slowest Burn by Sarah Chamberlain

This book did not work for me. If I weren't listening to the audiobook I would not have finished it.
I was not a fan of the spice and felt there wasn't chemistry between the two main characters. Just loads of lust that came up in the most random moments.
The concept behind this story seemed like it could have the perfect balance of emotional depth and still being fun and playful. Sadly it didn't work for me.
Thank you, NetGalley for the advanced reader's copy!

well, well, well...
this was my first Elin Hilderbrand and I think that was a mistake.
Somehow, I didn't catch that this was a short story/novella (not sure which it was).
From the very beginning of this story, I knew right away what the "twist" would be and was bored out of my mind until it was exposed.
Not for me.

Sleep Tight by J.H. Markert

This book had ZERO chill... and I loved it.
There were layers and layers to this, with barely any breathing room (in the best way possible).
Hidden secrets, kidnappings, murders, cults, OH MY!
If you want a fast-paced, full-of-action, spooky read, Sleep Tight is the book for you!
I listened to the audiobook of this, and loved the narration! I look forward to more spooky reads similar to this in the future!

boy.... oh... boy...
this book was a miss for me.
I was SO lost most of the time and when things did get crazy I was so lost it didn't even matter.
This simply was not a book for me.

This graphic novel was all about the entanglement of queer friendships and relationships. It was such a fun read! I found myself laughing and giggling and feeling genuine empathy for these characters.
It reminded me how much I love stories that take place on college campuses.
The ending was a little lacking for me. And it was pretty difficult to root for one of the main characters. But overall the art and the story was good!

This was a great cozy atmospheric read with a splash of magic!
I enjoyed this graphic novel but felt like the ending conflict was a bit rushed.
Still recommend this for a fun cozy read! The art was stunning and I loved the magical aspect.

This was a complex fantasy graphic novel about three teens trying to change their world for the better. I enjoyed the characters and their dynamic with one another. It was sweet to see their connection and their loyalty when the need for sacrifices arose.
The main thing I had a struggle with was the world building & overall conflict. I found it hard to follow sometimes and had to reread a few pages to fully comprehend what was going on. The resolve at the end felt a bit rushed to me. I liked the very ending, and being able to see what became of our characters.
Overall a solid story! Would recommend it if you're looking for an action-packed, fantasy read!

I wanted to like this Novella more than I did. The writing was great and the atmosphere was spooky and dark (all things I was hoping for). But, the story itself was lacking. I might have DNF'd if I was reading the physical book.
The narration was great! I especially loved that each character had a unique voice.
