*final warning*

I threw this book across the room when I finished it. To quote the great and wonderful Haymitch (last name I can’t remember) “you could live a thousand lifetimes and never deserve that boy.”

My blood is BOILING right now.
And yes, I understand trauma and wounds (trust me on this) but BOY OH BOY.
Emma is now and forever on my shit list.
The ONLY reason this has stars at all is because of how incredible and heartbreakingly loyal and beautiful Jason was.

The more I think about this book the more I dislike it. The beginning half was a cute and simple enough rom-com but omg— I can’t. The last half and don’t get me STARTED on the last 100ish pages.

… *sigh* Well, well, well… if it isn’t the consequences of my own actions. (UNPOPULAR OPINIONS INCOMING)
I can’t even give this a rating because I skimmed 90% of it— if I were we’d be somewhere between a 1-2 ⭐️

I have 8 books in this series, just by collecting them from little libraries and thrift stores. I hate to say it, but after reading #1 I will not be continuing.

There was so much about this I WANTED to like.
The writing fell flat. The world building was confusing.
I didn’t enjoy the main characters or care much for anything that was happening.

The beginning half of this up until Part 2 was a 4⭐️ potential for me. From Part 2 on… more like a 1⭐️.
Let’s just average it out to 2.5⭐️
