This was a fast read! I liked learning more about the Dust Bowl from the perspective of the people that lived it, although I wanted more from the characters and their interactions with each other.

I thought this was a good page turner and liked the main character’s sense of humor. Sometimes it was hard to keep track of all the character’s but I enjoyed the book nonetheless.

I listened to the audiobook read by the author and found it very interesting. We are currently watching Boardwalk Empire and it was neat to hear names of people in the show referenced (I didn’t know Arnold Rothstein or Waxy Gordon were real people!). Piqued my interest to read more about this decade!

This was a lovely book! I I listen to the audiobook read by Amy Creighton and I highly recommend. The book takes place in Dublin and Creighton’s Irish accent is delightful and adds so much to the story.
