The premise sounded original and intriguing. I love the concept of Nights and Days, especially when both have such drastic differences and in the context of a criminal investigation one is a suspect and the other the detective. I tried to get into the book multiple times to give it a fair shot, but unfortunately I failed to be engrossed by the story especially because the pacing was a bit slower than what I usually gravitate towards so it felt like moments were drawn out.
I would still recommend to give it a go if the concept sounds interesting, I will give it another chance as an audiobook.
Thank you so much to Literature and Lattes and NetGalley for the e-ARC!!

I loved Tam and Nova, they made such a cute couple; this is perfect if you love the childhood friends-to-lovers trope!! The side characters were also great, especially the grandmas. The plot is simple but not boring and the themes (the weight of one’s parents' aspirations, complicated family dynamics and reconnecting with old friends) were handled well. Nova is deaf and I loved that it was included in how she practiced her magic. The illustrations are pretty and the soft color palette creates a great atmosphere.
I didn’t like Nova’s friend, but she was a good comic relief in tense situations. I found the worldbuilding, magic system and wolf lore a little vague. There are many great ideas that I wanted more details on. Overall, it’s a cute witchy romance and a great cosy read!!

This is a collection of raw and emotional poems about the 🍉 g3n0cid3 and resistance.
It’s the first poetry collection I’ve read in a while so I’m not entirely sure how to review this genre yet because how it affects people is so personal. The style didn’t really click with me for a few of them, but I enjoyed most of the poems, and even reread the ones that resonated most with me.
For those who’ve read it (or who might), my favs include Relinquish, Questions in the Desert during an Eclipse, I Am and Whiteness Feeds. I would definitely recommend reading it!!
