Under One Roof by Ali Hazelwood

These novellas are so cute, I’ll start by saying that I’ve never read a roommate based plot in a romance. Why you ask ? Because I’m still new to the entire genre, or I’m not very new…. Wait how many books should you read to say that you’re not new in a genre ?
I have listened to this as well the narrator this time is named Emma Wilder, her voice was unbelievable. Never a dull moment so I’m sure I was so hooked up because of her just like with Stuck with you.
I was giggling, laughing and stupidly smiling through all of this well with many hand slamming on my forehead for when I wanted to kill Liam or Mara. Mara was fierce, unlike Sadie a bit.
The reason I gave it that rating was because when they just start saying from the get go hot is the person infront of them I just… I just want to shake them enough to shut them up and I see the pattern so far in the author’s books. I don’t hate it but I would really like something a bit dramatically different which I hope book 3 will provide for me I guess ?
This was a cute one and I recommend it for when you feel like you want something easy, funny and cute.

You had me I swear. I was going to give a 4 or 5 stars but nope, he had to do compare her tits to hills on mars.
This was the last book in the series and I think I went well tbh, I still enjoyed listening to this just I did enjoy the first 2 and like the boyfriends all gathered at the end ????? I was laughing my heart at them. Ali’s writing is funny and different for me but I know a lot object to the storyline itself and I agree sincerely support you guys too but if I was listening or reading something by her I think I’ll most definitely enjoy it.
Up next (a 5% maybe): love Hypothesis.

I loved this book, I really did wholeheartedly loved it. Regardless of the amount of times that I said ‘what the fuck am I reading ? This makes absolutely no sense’ because honestly it did sometimes. BUT EVEN THO I DID LOVE IT. That was a very unsatisfying end! Like where do we go from here ? What is there to come ? What are they supposed to do now ? How is Guy and his fellows will change the current situation Aka the world ? Is the author just leaving everything to our own thoughts ! Like am I supposed to think of how things will go from this point ? Because I am currently doing that and for that i applause for the man because I’m going to be thinking for a few hours now.
I know some may trash this —I see the cause of it— but dystopians are hmmmm they kinda make you wonder and for that I’ll give this a 4 ⭐️s just cause it kept me on my feet and for the fact that I marked SO MANY quotes.

Something about starting novellas/series from the second or the third book. Oh I’ll be damned but not today I won’t.
I haven’t been able to read for a week or so now due to a recent eye operation so i have been burying myself in audiobooks and I happened to stumble this one and I instantly started because:
1- 3 hours and 22 minutes sounds so convenient to me
2- the narrator oh my god Meg Sylvan, you are my favorite person on earth, everything about this narrator was perfect. The way her voice just gives A FREAKING RHYTHM to the story details, the up and falls of her voice and just HER. Like I think I should move number 3 to number one instead but I’m lazy and ughhhh I enjoyed listening to this book so bad.
I don’t know if I’m on board with the miscommunication trope or if I’ll be interested further more but this was an light story and I know lots and lots of one stars are out there for this book but eh I liked this

I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

This was magnificent, as well as heartbreaking. I don’t struggle with an eating disorder (I think) but the way she talked about her relationship with food, about guilt and shame following every time she used to eat something just resonated it really did because I don’t have the best relationship with food due to my constant dieting, it’s an vicious cycle when it comes to food, dieting and losing weight. So I really related to that prospect. I’m glad she wrote this, that she voiced everything and I’m 100% glad that her mom died, else she wouldn’t have admitted the abuse or asked for help.

The worst thing about reading a book narrated by death, is the fact that he knows when one shall disappear (die).
