Scarlet by Marissa Meyer
4.0
This book was quite good actually. I liked how the story emerged and started with Cinder's escape and the introduction of Scarlet Benoit's story although Scarlet was honestly annoying at some parts throughout the book (certainly not my favorite but I don't hate her either).
Throne was hilarious as well as Iko being the spaceship system, it had me laughing out loud when she started to overheat the ship from shyness. I loved how everything started to connect by the middle and end of the book and I'm just so glad to have the rest of the books for the series so I can get to read the next retelling and see how this beautiful story wraps up.
I sure hope to not see any major character death Marissa I SURE HOPE NOT TO SEE.

I don't think I could give this book the 4 that I have to the previous two books. I don't know where it went wrong but this book felt like it could've been better? Don't get me wrong, it had everything and was enjoyable but it fell flat with me. I was intrigued and still am to the whole plot and sequence of events and although the revelations in this book were fewer than the two before but it still delivered. I think I had a problem with how juvenile some of the characters felt with Cress and Throne especially. Cress had the excuse of being stuck in a satellite most of her life with no human interaction but Throne of the other hand?? There didn't feel much depth into his character like I expected or maybe when Cress's expectations were not met I felt the exact same thing?
Overall this book was great, and the writing appeals to me very much to make me want to continue even if one book felt like a lil fail to me.
