This sequal truly took me by surprise! I have had the luxury of reading The Handmaid's Tale for the first time just before the publication of The Testaments. The sequal did not dissapoint. Contrary to The Handmid's Tale, it was somehow uplifting, it was hopeful and it offered resistance and fighting back which I loved.
for me it would be a great choice for a bookclub, it would generate a great discussion :)
Highly recommend

This is the first text I read of Henry James' and it won't be the last. I'm so glad that this novella came my way now; At a first glance it seems simple, but I read it twice and I was really intrigued by the writing style and enjoyed recognizing the clever imagery and the paradoxes presented within the text. This novella showed me what a beautiful text looks like.
