Ahh I've been waiting for Jed's book and it did not disappoint.

Was he raised to be a killer cannibal? Yes. Is he also the sweetest, most thoughtful, caring, and bashful of all the men we've met so far in this series? Yes. haha There were so many times, while reading, that I kept saying, "Come on Saylor he's so sweet! Ignore the murderer part and his past as a cannibal!" 🤣

I cannot wait to see what other stories we get in this series!

Why didn't I look up this series before starting and realize the final book wasn't out yet...especially since every book ends on a cliffhanger 🥹 The summary for the final book says release in August but probably dropping sooner...so I have no idea when I get to read the conclusion... *sigh*

This book didn't really add anything new to the story that I hadn't already known or guessed...now to wait for that final book drop.

Don't read below if you haven't read this book!

Okay so in book two I started thinking that Daisy was alive and then the more "the white Lotus" was mentioned in book 3 I started thinking that was her...so the end of this book just confirmed something I already expected to happen.

The final book though will really need to have a good explanation as to how/why Daisy is still alive and why she hasn't reached out to Ivy...and I hope it's not a amnesia reason...but I have a sneaking suspicion that will come into play. I mean why else wouldn't Daisy have gone to Ivy or tried to kill the men that hurt her?

I'm interested to see how her being alive is explained because Bram said multiple times that when he found Daisy and Ivy...it was too late to save Daisy but he was able to save Ivy...

The final book will definitely make or break this story...

Starting to dig a little deeper into who these men are...can't wait to learn more about each of them as their relationship with Ivy evolves...and can't wait to see how everyone reacts when the true is finally out there.

When I first started reading I was a little worried I wasn't going to get into the book. The way our leading lady speaks/thinks in the prologue had me rolling my eyes and thinking there was no way I could read more of her POV...luckily we jump 5 years after that and her thoughts/words are much easier to read.

This book was so much fun I stayed up late into the night devouring it...and then starting book 2...getting to know Ivy and her men has been a lot of fun...I can't wait to see where their journey takes them.

***I received and e-ARC, ahead of release, through Netgalley***

From reading the summary of this book I knew I wanted...no needed to dive into the world and see what it was all about.

From the start it was easy to love and cheer for Lore.

I do feel the pacing was a bit off in this book...the first 3/4 feels like a lot of day to day things as we get to know Lore and the other cast of characters and then the last 1/4 of the book is like we're racing down the autobahn. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE everything about this story I just think maybe the last 1/4 should have been stretched out a bit more. This easily could have been a 500 page book and I would have devoured it and loved it just as much.

I do wish I had known in advance that it would be part of a series...the way it's advertised and labeled online was giving "standalone" vibes...so the entire time I was reading I was wondering how the heck they were going to wrap up the story...on to have it end on a ..." to be continued..." I'm guessing...it'll be a duology...though it's a bit to early to tell.

When this book releases next month I plan on purchasing it so I can reread it, possibly a few times, before book 2 inevitably releases.

If you're looking for a book that gives fall magical vibes with a strong leading lady who's fierce determination to bring peace and happiness to her people had me ready to go to battle...you won't want to pass on this book. 💜

Only read the below paragraph if you've read this book already! Major spoiler warnings below.

Okay, so I feel like Asher revealed himself entirely too early...AND I would have loved to see a slightly stronger relationship develop between Lore and Finn before this reveal...because I feel like going forward Finn may feel like a 2nd string pick...when really she's felt connected to him almost from their first meeting...and it was only his grumpiness keeping her from attempting a deeper connection...

This volume felt a bit boring until the end where we get a very intriguing cliffhanger!

Religious trauma (references to cults in particular), including manipulation and degradation • References to drug abuse • Parental neglect • Physical and emotional abuse/manipulation (no sexual abuse). Includes abuse suffered by a child from an authority figure (not a parent), which includes beating/whipping/burns leaving permanent scars • References to an intended marriage between a minor and a young adult which is NOT consummated and no sexual contact occurs • Physical violence, torture, and murder • Claustrophobia • Panic attacks and undiagnosed PTSD • Explicit language • Detailed sexual content. The sexual activity is consensual, though some consensual non-consensual ( CNC ) role play is depicted. It includes some kinks and behaviors that some readers might find triggering, including breath play, praise, BDSM, and rough sex.

Ever since reading Butcher and Blackbird I knew I needed to read more of Brynne's work...and Black Sheep did not disappoint. This is definitely darker than Butcher and Blackbird...nothing romcom-y about it. So just know that going in ^^

When I first started reading I was a little worried I wouldn't connect to Bria but as her many layers begin to peel back...I not only connected, I related too, and fiercely wanted to support and protect.

Though the first have of the book did feel a little slow [in the thriller/mystery aspect of the story...the spice was spicing don't worry haha] the last half I could not put down and ended up reading into the wee hours to finish.

Though the story ended I could easily see a spin off happen and I would not be disappointed if that happened ^^

Never Blow a Kiss by Lindsay Lovise

Did not finish book.
A historical romance full of mystery, shenanigans, and so much more. Sadly, I don't think it was the right time for me to read this book. I loved both the leading lady and leading man and the mystery was fun...but it was starting to feel really drawn out. Both the idea of a relationship between the two and the big mystery they were both working towards sorting out...I ended up putting it down at the 65% mark...hoping to pick it back up in the future when I'm more in a historical mood. 🤞🏽
