Loved this...no real huge conflict between our couple...just really them learning to trust the other, be more open and vulnerable, and embrace the love between them.

I always love how Zoey is able to give us well crafted scifi fantasy books that perfectly balance giving us multiple love stories to root for while also keeping us invested in some overarching plot that we learn more and more about as we continue the books. Honestly, one of my favorite writers.

Ahh it felt so good to slip into a world created by Zoey again 🥰 She never fails to give us men that give off big ol barbarian vibes but on the inside would literally do anything for their mates...and their cultures are always ones that hold women in high esteem 💜

Another fun and quick read 🥰 I do wish we had a little more depth from both characters...although they did talk about heavy things, at times, it still felt very surface level...if that makes sense? Like we can talk about traumatic events without feeling the emotions...and that's what it felt like I was getting...I didn't feel the level of emotional depth that really would have added to their growing bond and relationship.

This is such a fun, quick, paranormal read!

Ngl, the leading lady was a little annoying...but I get it. Definitely loved Damien here more than Blair 😅 I'm excited to read the rest of these books and see who falls for who 🥰

Fun quick read. A lot of cornier banter situations that were amusing but some a little much 😅 also...we really only get to see her interact with her BFF...and based off that...I don't like any of her friends because none of them, including the BFF, actually seem to care about her.

*sigh* okay...I think this couple shouldn't have gotten a trilogy...should be a duology...this book just felt entirely unnecessary. Imo, it would have made more sense to have the Luna Games and Alpha games combined into one book and then the 2nd book could have the Mating Game be the focus of book 2. Am I still going to read book 3? Yes, though I'm mentally preparing myself for all the filler I'm likely to go through 😅

A fun quick read ^^

Granted idk if this first book needed to be quite this long...would have loved a lil more emotional depth from the characters and a lil less show stuff...but overall I had a blast reading this and will immediately be starting book 2 ^^

Okay, so this was an interesting read...

With the way it started...I was confused as to how we'd get to rejected mates...and then when we did...it still made zero sense. I do enjoy the love story we get and feel the couple we end up with is the one that makes the most sense. However, I feel like the rejected mates should have been handled differently...because it honestly felt unnecessary...it would have made more sense to have it be a breakup rather than fated mates...idk maybe I'm just used to much different fated mates and mate rejections...so this one didn't feel right.

Anways, overall...felt longer than necessary and I do not plan on reading book 2, since its about the rejector in this book finding love...and I'm too petty to walk to read that. 🤷🏽‍♀️

This was okay. I think it was longer than it needed to be...and the issue preventing the alpha's from truly accepting her...should have resolved quicker but contained actual groveling and true sacrificial attempts to show her they were ready to be what she needed them to be. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I'm glad I found this version first...I've always been a fan of dual/multi POV over single POV...especially when one of the characters is as seemingly unhinged as Xavier here 😅

As someone who was naive, in relation to social aspects, when I was young...as much as Marissa made me want to shake her in the beginning...I also completely understood and appreciated how the author wrote her. When someone never feels truly seen, or loved, you cling to whatever form of relationship[s] come close to what you think love is...and that's how you had Marissa with Jason for as long as she was...and why it was so easy for her to attach herself to Xavier.

Overall, this was a wild ride but a fun one. I'm not a degradation girly, in any shape or form, but I feel like the author made sure to show how much Marissa was actually into it so there was no question that she was an eager participant...so it wasn't as hard to read as some books. 😅
