Despite being a book about a human town and vampires on the brink of a battle due to a murder of a local towns person, this book is incredibly boring and slow. I wouldn't go into this expecting a vampire, horror, action or paranormal story or else you'll be disappointed. Somehow, this book turned vampires into animal blood drinking, anti-technology, and endangered creatures who fear humans.

However, if you like very long, murder mysteries then this book might be for you.
