Sam's character sounded really interesting, I wish if the book was focused more on him and less on Adeline, his daughter. I wanted to know more about him. Some stories works better if they were longer, and this book is one of them. In my opinion, it'd be better if it was a series.

However , a fun read,

AT LAST. I'm done with this book.

It feels like I have been reading it forever. I loved the story, the setting and the "grimdark" events. But the pacing was so ... slow, it made me drop the book and take a break from it, and even dnfing it. However, I'm glad I finished it, because I like it. And surprisingly.. I'm very excited to know what the next books bring.

I have mixed feelings about Girl, Alone. Some parts were good but a lot of parts were ... Meh.... However, it did manage to freak me out. I mean crimes and serial killers novels are fun and games, until the authors start dropping real serial killers names, and what they did.

The Plot: Jak, Jadora and Malek travels through the portal in search of the longevity plant their king demands, only this time, more allies are joining the hunt. But all Jack wants is to find the elder dragons.
I'm having confused feelings, this series started really good and interesting, you have dragons, war, magic and powerful mages, everything i love. But now it's going very slow and ... repetitive, i even dropped it for some time. Plus alot things happened in this book that I didn't like, I'm scared to pick the next one.

If I read it my teens or in my early twenties, I might have liked it more. However, I enjoyed it. I needed something light to read, and this one delivered, it was better than the previous one. The writing changed a bit, Juliette was somehow less annoying and we got more of Warner and less of Adam. Some stuff happened that bothered me, but i kept telling myself that, it is a YA so ... get ever it. 3 Stars
