pivotal play in my brain (maybe my fourth read but i think i reread it a shitton while working on a monologue from it years back idk). my notes this time around included: i support women’s rights and women’s wrongs, fuck you jason, “i just feel like women” (ala jo in gerwig’s little women)

reading an essay collection that plays with form like this was new and had a learning curve but i enjoyed nonetheless. some essays were five stars (particularly Remember The Time by v mike robert’s- annotation 66 made me understand that we’re cut from the same cloth) others missed for me
and one had a weird racist comment about racial preferences in attraction? weird and uncalled for
. overall validating and ill be lending out my copy most assuredly

mikasa backstory and truly insane titan lore development with a abnormals.
eren melting out of that berserker titan’s nape continues to be an award winning GAG
seriously missed out on that mikasa panel
where she’s leading the soldier’s charge to get gas and has her blade held up
being the cover

Guide to a Miraculous Life: A Spiritual Approach to Manifesting by Elizabeth M. Herrera

i lean skeptic on manifestation and i wouldn’t really recommend this text to anyone with skepticism, but i found the chapter reflections and exercises to be helpful for in depth info. anecdote about robert smalls at the end left a… weird taste in my mouth though. also i think if youre gonna have “thoughts mean more than actions” as part of your thesis it’s critical to include some statement/methods/etc for accountability

always gonna wonder why the titans vary in freaky levels. the first four chapters in the manga get RIGHT down to business and waste hardly any time explaining the world to you because they’re already trying to save any of humanity they can

this was my first time reading davis and it convinced me in like five pages to go down a rabbit hole of biographical info and her other writings. as this is a collection of interviews and speeches, there isn’t a complete bibliography, but i had a whole tab color to track further reading that was referenced. i also had a tab color that i labeled dear democrats, bc im seriously considering slipping this book under the doors of centrist liberal family members

if you can avoid knowing anything about the concept and characters (besides its connection to the series) before this, highly recommend
because i did NOT expect my girl to turn into a bear and there’s a fuckin bear on the cover
. madam kingfisher really batting 1000 with kinda awkward middle aged people being really adorable together. it was a little slow for me in certain bits but the ending was so fun

bamf lucy is my favorite. her fight with angel is iconic and the suspense was kept up so well in this with nirvana rushing toward cait shelter. also more
dragons slayers! mashima did not hold back with the dragons at the start of this damn

i love an avengers type beat with a team up arc. so many people have come back or been introduced just in time to have an abhorrent amount of people to fight

love any time focusing on how kick ass toph is. also really cool seeing the seeds planted here for spirit and human coexistence that’s explored later in korra’s series
