This is for those readers who love true bul!y romances, because there isn't much redeemable about this MMC most of the book.... and I love an obsessed hero or rather villain who will do the unthinkable to keep a girl... so yeah it was for me. This man basically black mails her into keeping him as boyfriend AFTER he black mails her into an act that requires her on her knees if you know what I mean.  He gaslights her and I think I felt as crazy as she probably did reading the story, because for some sick reason... I couldn't put it down.  I knew he was insane, but the lengths he went for her was also endearing.  I knew he was cruel, but he was cruel for her. I was living to see what other insane things would fly out of his mouth.  One of my favorite bul!y romances honestly.

If you're new here to Rosa Lee, she writes dark why choose romances.  This duet is extremely dark, so check you triggers! This is not for beginners! Also note this is a duet, and I will say book one is primarily smut... like really good, extremely spicy smut!  There's a little bit of the foundation of the plot, but the main plot hits in book two.  If you want really good smut, something a little lighter with banter, and equal parts smut and plot I would look into her Highgate Prepatory Academy Series instead.  I however, love the smut Rosa Lee delivers, and I am obsessed with these characters.  Jude reminds me a little like an adorably unhinged mini mee of Diesel (for my DOV lovers out there). He's one of my favorite characters of all time.  He's sweet for a captor lol.  Also it's one of my favorite audiobooks of the year. It has some of my favorite narrators in a full cast style narration.

This book is a smidge sweeter than what I normally tend to read, but it was EVERYTHING I needed.  I needed a cinnamon roll so bad in my life, but I didn't want a cutesy rom com.  I still needed angst and just a smidge of something deeper, more real, or just a tad of dark.  I think based all the things the FMC had to endure, the persistence sweet as can be MC, and the climax moment towards the end, it was exactly what I needed.  Book hubby material right here!

I love J.L. Beck, but the FMC in this book was not for me. There was a lot of miscommunication between the two characters, the FMC lacked something I could relate to, and the burn was a little too slow for me.  I did finish it, but not for me.  I do however recommend The Wallflower by this author if you like bully romances!  It's really good.

I am not normally one for novellas, but I loved this one so much!  It was spicy, but there was also a plot (simple but it's a novella... so come on people be realistic) and great chemistry between the two main characters.  With primal play and creepy carnival vibes...  oh and a man in a mask... this is one to add to your spooky season tbr!

This was a short fun read!  Great for spooky season vibes if you are into the step sibling trope... if he were basically half demon that is.  I had a fun time and it was an easy read.

I'm always a little hit or miss on bul!y romances, but I absolutely love this one!  Its a retelling which is also a bonus for me!  The angst and banter were amazing.  I loved the suspense and action along the way as well.  These two had a chemistry that felt explosive from the beginning which is probably why there was such a fine line between love and hate.  The piercing Scene... will live rent free thank you very much.
