Overall I am in love with this concept and story line.  I do think book two has a little bit of book two syndrome where the middle felt a little heavy on fluff and therefore was a little slow. The cliff hanger though has me dying for book three!  I hope we get a little more from the secret society and the who and whys in book three. For a solo narration, Alexis Paige does an amazing job playing so many different characters.

I love an enemies to lovers book where the alpha hole of a man has to eat his words.  He swore he would never bow to anyone, but by the end he was all sweet gestures and possessive manners.  I am in love with the angst and tension in this one.  This was an great mafia read, and the Irish accent done by our MMC narrator was spot on.  The FMC is exactly who I would picture for this heroine.  It was an amazing listen.

I actually really enjoyed this book for a short horror forbidden romance.  Keep in mind it does borderline horror, so the plot involves a lot of unaliving spree on the MMC's account.  He's not super redeemable, but his back story had my heart.  I think it was a great Myers retelling and it was fun and perfect for spooky season.

It was a quick enjoyable easy read. I had a good time and it was a good change of pace, but I just can't remember anything about it a few weeks later including what the tropes are.  I think it make for a good pallet cleanser!

These Kingpins are obsessed and apparently cursed with their obsession.  I am loving following along with all these characters stories in audiobook format.  For those of you who love mafia romances where he's obsessed or if you like a man who has to grovel for forgiveness because he does the unthinkable to keep her... you'll find all that here! The narration was amazing yet again!

Is this book for everyone? ... no, but if you are a smut sl(_)t like me... be ready for some intense blushing.  This is one of the spiciest holiday read I have ever read, and I am obsessed with this trio.  This is an MMF, bisexual awakening, snowed in holiday romance.  Two of the main characters are switches, which means you get so many different scenarios in the bedroom... then you start introducing toys, games, and other tools, and not one scene feels the same as the next.  Be aware that the plot heavily revolves around this bisexual awakening, navigating the difficulties of polyamorous relationships, and healing from past relationship trauma and is extremely spice heavy.  This isn't cutesy or cozy holiday read and comes with a lot of untraditional relationship dynamics, but if you're looking for something unique for your holiday read then look no further!

Also let's talk about the audiobook, because top tier my friends!  It is a duel narration, but the narrations are so good that I didn't blink an eye.  The casting for the characters was also perfect for these characters.

What to expect:
MMF
2 switches
bisexual awakening
Snowed in for the holiday
Curvy girl rep

This book has an interesting plot twist and a very unique and original plot line. I do think there were parts of it that were a little repetitive and I did contemplate DNFing it once because it got slow in the middle, but the premise and the suspense was so good that I held on for the ride. I loved the ending, and the beginning was absolutely thrilling.

Did not finish book.
I ended up DNFing because I wasn't invested in any of the love interests. I just didn't feel the connection I was hoping, and since I always go in blind and there wasn't a connection I couldn't tell which MMC (turns out it's MMCs) she was going to end up with. It just wasn't for me, but I do love the cover! I think if you know you're going into it as an MFM, I heart it's a great spooky season read.

I come to Monty for a found family of misfits and all the feels, and they delivered it in this book!  I would say that most of the negative reviews revolve around not feeling chemistry between the two, and I think that's because the first 30% there isn't a ton of interactions between the two, so it dragged a little here which is the only reason it wasn't a 5 star for me.  That being said, water tower scene on was basically my whole personality for the week.  Both the main characters Jude and Phi, the first generation characters, and the other second generation characters all shared the spot light which made me excited for the future books in this series.  I loved the dark and unconditional love that you see pouring from the first generation of misfits from this town.  I highlighted a LOT of quotes, because Monty knows how to make you feel seen.  The enemies to lovers trope delivered.  I mean she legit almost kil!ed him!  The spice once it brewed was spot on, and I think the pacing the last 70% of the book was what it needed to be considering the generational feud between these families.  I absolutely adored this book, and I can't wait for Ezra's story!

The audiobook is phenomenal!  It's duet narration with some sound effects here and there as well.  If you're giving it a try, I definitely would try the audio!  I think it's a great short read for spooky season.  The pacing was a little off for me.  I don't mind insta-love, but being a novella there romance didn't have any time to solidify from insta-lust into something realistic.  Their love is basically revolved around one date / one interaction. The smut is top tier, and I think I'd give it a try if you want a smutty quick Halloween read, but don't need any plot or character development.
