The Wallflower by J.L. Beck

Where my bul!y lovers at? Because this one is for you. If you want a book that comes right out with the action, you won't be waiting long for this girlie to be chased in the woods by a masked man who wants to own her. Love that there wasn't a lot of fluff and it got straight to the point. I love the glimpses of the other boys we get in this book. Love the sassy fmc, and I can't wait for book two!

The biggest compliant I have is this book is a bit chaotic and hard to follow along with... THAT BEING SAID the concept is sooo sooo unique and refreshing. I am actually excited about the second book because I'm just so darn intrigued. I really hope it lives up to the plot that book one set the foundations for. I love all the tropes as well, so overall solid read, but just a tad confusion how its written.

I ended up DNFing this one at 35%. I couldn't vibe with the FMC. I tried because she goes through a loss at the beginning of the book, so I knew there had to be a grieving process, but I couldn't see any character growth in that 35%, and I just couldn't listen to her reasons for being the way she is anymore. There was a LOT of spice with the boys, but I was struggling to grasp for a plot amidst a sad girl drowning her grief in d!ck on the road with hot rockstars. That being said, I do love C.M. Stunich for why choose romances, and I'll leave this negative review on a positive note, and recommend the HAVOC boys series because I loved that FMC and those boys where hawt!

I love this trilogy so much, and I am a little sad it's over! Okay, so this one is personally my least favorite of the three, but overall I will still shove this trilogy down people's throat for spooky season. I think there was just a lot of overlap in the story line from book one and two during the middle of the read that I did get a little bored at some point. I LOVED the end, Harley does no wrong writing style wise, and the spice is always perfection! Overall solid ending to a great series.

This was a refreshing twist on an arranged marriage mafia romance. I really enjoyed this concept a lot. I love that the FMC bites back and is sassy even in her silent ways. It has all the things you look for in a mafia man including a protective possessive alpha male. I can't wait to continue the series!
