This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen
4.0
Remy Starr is enjoying her last summer before college. She plans on breaking up with her current boy, hanging out with her girlfriends and having a blast. Sadly, her boy surprises her and from there, things don't turn out quite as planned for Remy.
I loved the relationships between characters... the group of girlfriends, Remy's family, Dexter and his bandmates -- I felt they were very real and not at all cliche. I thought the novel had a great pace, as well.
This is the second Dessen novel I've read and I greatly enjoyed it. I took a star away for a few things I thought were missing... like some more about Dexter's history with Don. Also, I felt that some of it was a little too melodramatic at times (the scene with Remy in the bar looking at her reflection made me gag).
