5 starts for entertainment value. Most I’ve laughed in a book yet. Also made me feel reassured/validated for choosing not to pursue medicine. Bonus.

Doesn’t have a very deep message but it also manages to shed light on an important subject while being very funny. I am also typically biased towards health care books. Quick and easy read.

Could have difficult sections for women who’ve experienced traumatic births or complications.

Writing is heavily redundant and over explained. Time is spent on describing the scene and clothing of characters without managing to paint vivid images. There is no interesting meaning or conclusion really....
Bad writing. Interesting premise.
Learned post read it’s adapted from a play and that is terribly evident in the writing. Wouldn’t mind seeing a theatre version though.

Was an easy before bed book but found myself annoyed with the monologues of advice more often than I found myself deeply in thought. A few tidbits of wisdom but writing wasn’t my cup of tea. Didn’t know anything about the author so was surprised at the religious theme.
