The Lamia, Part 2, Reunions. by Jim Heter
5.0
Definitely one of my favourite parts of the Lamia series. Dema meets with her grandmother Sedna - an enthusiastic, spunky woman who sees the potential in Dema and aims to teach her granddaughter all she knows about being a shaman. The Culver family is about to experience big changes as Dema uncovers more about her sister Kore's past.
Surviving Cancer: A Story of Hope by T.E. Bradford
5.0
I absolutely loved this book. From beginning to end, it was endearing and inspirational with touches of humour to lighten the mood. Many people would benefit from reading about the experiences and hardships that T.E. and her group went through as they battled cancer together. I enjoyed the way the author incorporated points of view from her peers as well - they were a welcome edition and a touching way to end the story.
The Involuntary Ghostwriter: The Ghostwriter Series - Book One by Douglas Debelak
5.0
The Involuntary Ghostwriter is a story about a man who feels a compulsion to write a memoir that is not his own. This - and some strange yet satisfying dreams - distances him from his wife. But, as with any relationship, both parties have flaws that they must learn to accept and love. The story has a lot of sexual references and descriptions, but I really enjoyed the flow of the protagonist's thoughts and narrative. This book could easily be seen on bookshelves. My favourite part was the last few chapters - I couldn't put the book down and went right into the second one of the series. Looking forward to seeing where it goes!
The One Million Project by Tony O'Neill, Dan Impossible, Jason Greenfield

I thoroughly enjoyed this unique collection of short stories by a group of very talented authors. There’s such a variety; from suspenseful horror stories to sweet fables, there’s something in there for everyone. My favourites were “Jack Knife”, “Oni”, and “The Perfect Tree”. I admire the efforts of everyone involved, as the profits of the sales of this collection go towards charity. Well done, all of you!
