Hauntingly beautiful and dynamic, the entire series! I love this series and I am so glad to get it in digital form and the whole thing, at that. The outfits, the battles, everything. This book, just like the series is ever so captivating! So gothic and lovely

Get ready to bone up on your French and your fashion because Talley makes no stops. He's elegant in his prose and magnificent in his years of knowledge.

If you liked the show "Red Dwarf", prefer works that are akin to Douglas Adams and Robert Sheckley, this will be a fast, ever gripping read that's hard to put down. Very comedic and vivid.

Starts out great and fanciful but ends fairly racist (but in a subtle "lol whut? O_o' " way). Would have been an amazing story without the self-sacrificing Black folks- I mean, gingerbread people.

I wanted a good fantasy tale ;_;

N.B.: Will also make you hungry with all the sweets and snacks mentioned. Would have been a 4 or 5 stars but then the wtf parts happened.

'Twas a bit codswallop, it was. Ok-ish story. Gets a little heavy-handed on the Jesus-stuff at parts, where it reads like a bible tract. Not a bad read - I could get through it - but not a brilliant, dashing read either. Hardly anything happens.
