This was a slow sizzle at best. Nary a burn was felt.
I like Miles and Daphne as people but unfortunately for me, I did not believe in their little love story. I’m so sorry.
And fuck Petra and Peter while we are at it.

Kennedy Ryan, the woman that you are 🫰🏿🫰🏿🫰🏿
So, I’m a mission to finish her backlog since reading before I let go and this could be us. Ordinarily one would start with the hoop series but that scares me so I’ve put a pause on that.
I love how she writes about love. The chemistry between Lennix and Maxim was so palpable I was shy while reading it. I felt like I was intruding omgggg
And that ending? Needless to say I have Rebel King in my audible library already.

Shout out to bookclub because I ordinarily wouldn’t have picked this up. This is a Latvian slice of life book and I’m glad to have read about Latvia and her history. I love the way the author wrote about depression.

I was engaged but I wanted more. The “reveal” felt flat to me. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop but it never did.
