This is the first book that I read that was classified as a “classic” and I can totally see why it’s seen as such. The story is short but mighty. There’s so much going on in so little time I couldn’t stop thinking about it for days. The ending tore me apart. This is the only book that I’ve ever read more than once, and every single time it’s five stars in my heart.

If I could read any book for the first time again, this would be it. Wilde’s writing is absolutely magnifying and so captivating to a completely different level compared to anything else. The descriptions pull you into the environment, you can almost feel the breeze through the flowers. The characters are very distinct and the plot is simple to follow. The underlying darkness of the story is everything. This is forever the best book to recommend to anyone.
