This was just a rehash of Blue Lock but from another character’s POVs and while I enjoyed it a bit and it reminded me why I got into Blue Lock in the first place I will probably just keep reading Blue Lock instead of also getting into this series.

This was a fantastic and short psychological/supernatural suspenseful graphic novel. I loved the artwork and how color was used to showcase horror and death. Really upped the vibes! It read like a movie with a great twist and fantastic characters I rooted for. For fans of serial killer stuff and the first season of Stranger Things (though it’s not that supernatural).

If you’ve read The Road then this does an excellent job of literally painting a picture of the dark apocalypse and inhumanity the book gets into. There are pages and pages where there is little text but instead bleak and gross depictions of what is described in the book and the boy and his papa try to make it south and survive cannibals and the harsh cold weather. I feel like you definitely still need to read the book to fully understand the story but the graphic adaption does a good job of visually depicting it.
