The Unsolved Murder of Kevin Walsh by KJ Sweet

The Unsolved Murder of Kevin Walsh by KJ Sweet is a Horror Comedy with a Splash of Dark Romance! When I saw the book described at that I had to know more. Then I read the blurb and I knew without a doubt I had to read it. The beginning made my jaw drop and from there on I was hooked. I couldn’t put the book down, I read it from start to finish in a matter of hours. It had one of my favorite tropes being enemies to lovers. The spice was so well done. There’s revenge, humor and dark romance. I really enjoyed everything about this book. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but it definitely won’t be the last. I’m looking forward to more. I will mention to check your trigger warnings to be on the safe side. But this is a really well done written novella.

For the Love of Villains: Anthology the book I read was entitled, Sons and Daughters of Sin by R.E Johnson. This book was such a great, quick read. The spice was top tier and really well done. But I’m bias because I’m a fan of this author and of the writing style. The plot was interesting and I hope this story will get expanded in a full length book. The plot was addicting and I couldn’t put my kindle down. I will mention checking your trigger warnings to be on the safe side. Another great book from RE Johnson.

Bound By Chance by K.D. Fraser

Bound By Chance by KD Fraser is book one in The Fate Bound Saga Series. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but I believe this is the author’s debut novel. What a start to what will most likely be a great series! This book had me addicted from the opening chapters… holy smokes!!! I read the book in about a day, I was so interested in what I was reading. It’s a why choose romance mixed with fantasy and I found that the female protagonist was super relatable. This book definitely took my emotions on a ride… I honestly think I felt the full spectrum of them with this book. I will mention that there is a cliffhanger at the end that has me even more awaiting book two. I loved how KD Fraser described the settings of the book, it was easy to imagine them and that added something more to the reading. I’m and fan and can’t wait to see more from the author.

PET - A Reaper Academy Bully Romance: The Boys of Reaper Academy by Lulu Waters

PET by Lulu Waters is book two in the The Boys of Reaper Academy Series. It’s a Reaper Academy Bully Romance that can technically be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the first book, Vile. It’s where you’re introduced to all the characters. (Plus that book is phenomenal!) When I found out this was the next book in the series I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Holy smokes, was I not disappointed! This book was freaking fantastic and Lulu Waters hit another home run with me. I’m obsessed with these characters. I couldn’t get enough! This book had everything I could ever want, a well done plot heavy story, wicked amazing spice, twists and turns, and oh my the suspense. This was such a great why choose romance with Billie being with both Christian and Zeke. You could feel their chemistry radiating off the pages, I’m still fanning myself. Don’t even get me started with all the tension between the boys. I loved reading them grow as individuals and in their relationship. I really loved their protectiveness. I can’t do justice just how great this book is, I highly recommend it.

Harrison by V.R. Tennent

Harrison by VR Tennent is book one in The Level Series, what an amazing book! This is a mafia romance with twists and turns, action, suspense and drama. Don’t even get me started on great the spice was done. This book was amazing from start to finish; I didn’t want to put my kindle down. I was so invested in this story. It took me on such an emotional rollercoaster ranging from my heart breaking to anger and wanting to reach through my kindle to shake a few characters to smiling from the sweet moments. I will recommend to check your trigger warnings to be on the safe side. The characters were written so well it was as if I could feel what I was reading. Harrison and Violet complimented each other well in my opinion…they balanced one another. With everything she went through my heart broke for her. But reading Harrison helping and willing to give up everything for her… it glued my cracked heart back together. VR Tennent was a fabulous author and I can’t wait to read more from this series. I highly recommend this book.

Shroom for me: Kingdom of Trupan by Bekah D Killer is the first book/novella I’ve read by this author. What a read to start with! This was really well done; everything was fully developed and fleshed out… the characters were a treat to read. This whole experience was amazing! I absolutely loved that FMC was sassy and knew what she wants. The MMC was just as fantastic with not giving up to get her. It really was a treat reading their story plus who doesn’t love a good spicy fated mates story… I was addicted!!! Plus the ending, I loved it! If you want a really well done story, look no further. Highly recommended.

A Reaper's Voice by Kat Bethel

A Reaper’s Voice by Kat Bethel is the first book I’ve read by this author and I must say what an introduction! This novella was amazingly written with so much done in a quick paced read. To be honest it’s great as is but I would love for it to be a full length book with even more focus on the main character’s relationship. That being said I loved reading this book, it definitely pulled at my emotions with Hylaz and Rabadon. What a great pair! It was beautiful to read him help put her back together. Them learning together to be in a healthy, happy relationship and not what they had experienced in the past. Incredibly well done and I definitely recommend it. I will mention to check your trigger warnings to be on the safe side.

A Court of Fire and Frost by Daniela A. Mera, Elayna R. Gallea

5.0

A Court of Fire and Frost by Daniela A Mera is book one in the Legends of Love Series. It’s a a Romeo and Juliet retelling that is a standalone. I’ve read books by the author before so when I saw this book’s blurb I knew I had to read it and I wasn’t disappointed. This book was great, I couldn’t put it down. I was invested from the opening chapters all the way until the end. I read the book cover to cover in one sitting never once wanting to put my kindle down. The worldbuilding was fantastic and the book descriptions were so good I could clearly picture everything I was reading. What I really enjoyed is how the book expanded on the relationship told through years. It was a great touch. I thought Elva and Nathanial complemented each other so well. Their dynamic was so on point. I loved the lore of the rival families being from the Summer and Winter Courts. To be honest I was nervous about the ending because of the whole Romeo and Juliet aspect but the ending was perfect. This is a really well done romantasy and I expected nothing less from this author. Highly recommend this book. I cannot wait for the next book with the next couple, I’m eagerly awaiting.

Fractured Fates by Hannah Haze

Fractured Fates by Hannah Haze is book one in the Arrow Hart Academy series. What a great opening to a new series. I was hooked from the opening chapters all the way until the end. I read this book in about a day, I was so invested in the plot and characters. I liked Rihanna even when she gets dealt a crap hand she still keeps going. My only nitpick is she sometimes comes across a bit naive. (But that’s just my opinion and doesn’t take away from the story) While the fated mates are dark and frustrating but with a good grovel all will be well. I think a good redemption arc will be coming in the next books. I really enjoyed reading all the twists and turns… the suspense had me on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait to see some of the secrets come to light. The magical aspect of this world has me intrigued and I can’t wait to read more about it. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy a good why choose paranormal romance. I can’t wait for book two to come out!

Ash and Roses by N.B. Snook

5.0

Ash and Roses by N.B Snook is book one in the Ash and Roses Series. It is a romantasy inspired by Beauty and the Beast. But the best part is it has my all time favorite trope, enemies to lovers! The author did a phenomenal job with worldbuilding (even if I wish there was a bit more) and the descriptions were so well done that I could picture everything I was reading. It was so great I read this book in one sitting, never wanting to put my kindle down. This is a beautifully written heartbreaking story. It was as if I could feel what the characters were feeling… which took my emotions on a rollercoaster of a ride. The characters were fantastically written and enjoyed getting to know them all… especially Abby and Quinn. I really like the POV swaps between them. The banter in this book was top tier in my opinion. This was an amazingly well done fast paced book with one heck of a cliffhanger!!! My heart! I cannot wait for book two as I’m addicted and need more! N.B Snook has written a new favorite book of mine in romantasy and I can’t wait for more. Highly recommended!!! Plus the cover is beautiful!
