Wicked Games by P.H. Nix
5.0
Wicked Games by P.H Nix and Celeste Night is a Prequel Dark Horror Romance. I’m a fan of both of these authors in their own right but combined they wrote a fantastic novella. I devoured this book, I didn’t want to put my kindle down. I was so invested! This book was twisted, filled with chaos and revenge served. Holy crap did the beginning start with a bang and it kept that tone all the way through. This book took me on a journey with all the emotions but there were times I just wanted to reach through my kindle in frustration or annoyance. But it just shows how invested and into the story I was. But I will mention checking your trigger warnings to be safe. Harper definitely surprised me and that development! The ending almost resulted in me throwing my kindle! I one hundred percent need more. Why to go to P.H Nix and Celeste Night for writing an amazing novella, I can’t wait for more.

False Idols by Darcy Dahlia
4.0
False Idols by Darcy Dahlia is the first book I’m reading by this author. What a great read for the spooky season, I absolutely loved this book. This was a great combination of dark romance and a thriller. The writing was really well done and I was invested from the first couple chapters. I read this in one sitting, never once wanting to put down my kindle. There were times I was on the edge of my seat with all the suspense. It had a great slasher vibe. I really enjoyed how the characters were written specifically Nevaeh and her development. I liked the way the inner monologues/thoughts were written. I overall really really enjoyed reading this book and trying to put clues together. I would definitely recommend this book. I’m looking forward to reading other books by Darcy Dahlia because if the other books are anything like this one I’m going to be a fan.

Night Fall by Melissa Cummins
5.0
Night Fall by Melissa Cummins is book three in The Chronicles of The Otherworld Series. It’s a vampire fated mates romance. I’ve been reading this series since book one and each one just keeps getting better and better. I love the way Melissa Cummins weaves the story, everything is described in a way that makes it easy to picture what you’re reading. I read this book cover to cover not putting my kindle down once. I’m a huge fan of vampire romances and this just blew my expectations out of the water. I really liked the couple a lot in this book, Mya and Erik. I really enjoyed the spice, it was top tier. I liked the suspense that the book has and the quick thinking of the characters at times. I highly recommend this series because the worldbuilding is fantastic and it’s just an overall great read.

The worldbuilding was incredible and I was really immersed. The descriptions were really well done as it was easy to picture everything I was reading. I found myself not able to put my kindle down. This book took me on a journey with gods, goddesses and a chosen one. The characters were really well written and fleshed out really well and the development was great. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. I recommend reading this book if you enjoy a good fantasy tale.

Dreadful: A Dark Retelling by Greer Rivers
4.0
Dreadful by Greer Rivers is book three in the Tattered Curtain Series. After reading the first two books I could not wait to read this one. When I read the blurb and saw it was a mash up of Sweeney Todd, Medusa and a bit of Hamlet, I was all in. This book was amazing! I loved it so much. I will mention to check your trigger warnings to be on the safe side. I read this book in a day, I didn’t want to stop. This book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions, I was all over the place. I really felt for the characters at times. The FMC Talia was a kick butt character with her list of people who wronged her. The MMC Sever had mafia vibes mixed with urge of revenge. The protectiveness he had though!! Talia and Sever had great banter and the tension/chemistry was great. It wasn’t glossed over in my opinion that both of them have scars both physically and mentally. Out of all the books in this series this one was hands down my favorite. I really enjoyed that the characters have flaws but will do what needs to be done. The writing was absolutely amazing. You really can’t help but feel for these characters and the morally gray-ness that they demonstrate. In the end I know I can do justice to how great this book is, all I can say is I highly recommend not only this book but the first two as well.

Chasing Goldie by Holly Roberds
5.0
Chasing Goldie by Holly Roberds is part of The Lost Girls Series. I absolutely loved the book that came before this one so I was so excited to get my hands on this one. It’s a spicy Goldilocks retelling! I had high hopes because I’m a fan of everything that Holly Roberds writes. This book did not disappoint. I was hooked within the first few chapters and ate it up until the end. Not once did I put my kindle down, I was addicted to the story. But I loved the modern twist that was done and the worldbuilding was fantastic!!! The characters definitely have my heart, I loved Goldie and Ted! Their interactions were great, the chemistry was off the charts and I just plain loved the dynamic of them both. It was a fun read that had me chuckling at certain points and just gripping my kindle right other times. Plus one of my favorite tropes is front and center with that being grumpy/sunshine. I can’t recommend this book enough, hands down it was amazing.

Touch Me, See Me, Feel Me, Hear Me: A Supernatural Mystery Novel by Grace Mirchandani
5.0
Touch Me, See Me, Feel Me, Hear Me by Gave Mirchandani is the first book I’m reading by this author. After finishing this book I’m definitely going to be checking out the rest of their books! Oh my gosh what a great supernatural book, the way it was written had me intrigued and I loved it! I was invested from the first few chapters and that didn’t end. I read the book in one sitting; the premise was so good. What an amazing book for the spooky season! I really enjoyed the characters and I really like Sara and her abilities. But my favorite was reading her really come into her power. Also I loved Sara and Seth! I hope their adventures continue in future books, I actually hope this becomes a series. A new favorite author has been unlocked, I highly recommend you check this book out! Also, how cool is the cover?!?

Love MD by Devon Atwood
5.0
Love MD by Devon Atwood is book two in the Love and Other Jobs Series. I’m going to start this review off by saying, I’m a huge fan of Devon Atwood’s writing. This book was amazing! I loved everything about it and the writing is fantastic. Not to mention it has some of my favorite tropes of all time: enemies to lovers, grumpy/sunshine and a dash of office romance! I was hooked from the opening chapters and it kept me interested all the way until the final line. I read this whole book cover to cover in one sitting, I could not put my kindle down. (Not that I wanted too) But my favorite thing about this book is the characters themselves. I absolutely loved June and I felt for her because I’m an accident prone person as well, so I get it. Don’t even get me started with her awkwardness… relatable! But reading her growth throughout the chapters was amazing. Then there’s Amos, oh my gosh…loved him! His protectiveness and reading him lowering his defenses; it was fantastic. The chemistry between the two was off the charts and their banter was phenomenally written. Then there’s the spice, oh my was that some top tier reading. This book has definitely become a favorite, it’s so good! I can’t wait for book three! I can’t recommend Devon Atwood enough! The books are amazing and so well done. I highly recommend it!

Unlikely Alphas by Mona Black
4.0
Unlikely Alphas by Mona Black is book two in the Hinted Fae Series. It’s a Fated Mates Fantasy why-choose Romance. You must read the first book because this picks up directly after the cliffhanger from that book. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book because I really enjoyed the first one so I was looking forward to this one as well. It didn’t disappoint. But I’m a fan of Mona Black’s writing so this was a no brainer for me. I read the book cover to cover in a day, it once again had me hooked from the beginning chapters. It didn’t let up until the final line. And the cliffhanger at the end of this book, I now need book three! I enjoyed this one as it had a few funny moments and it seems the mate bond is finally being accepted. And the spice was definitely some top tier reading. It definitely took me on a ride. I can’t wait to read more in this series.

The Aspect of Essence by Samantha Amstutz
5.0
The Aspect of Essence by Samantha Amstutz is book one in The Aelfyn Archives Series. This is the first book I’m reading by this author but it definitely won’t be the last. It took me about a day to read this book but after the first few chapters I was hooked. I couldn’t put my kindle down, I was almost instantly intrigued and interested in the story and plot. I will mention to check your trigger warnings just to be on the safe side. This was a well done slow burn enemies to lovers romance. The sexual tension in this book was top tier. Not to mention I’m a fan of a magical academy type setting. This book was written really well with some great descriptions that I was easily able to picture what I was reading. I enjoyed how I thought one thing was going to happen but then it took a different path; I liked that it kept me guessing. This book is an amazing start to what I think is going to be a fantastic series. I absolutely cannot wait for the next book.
