Gabriel's Inferno by Sylvain Reynard
4.0
I don't know if watching the movie screwed my appreciation of the book. I do love the extra details that the book has and that I can now identify in the movie after the fact. There were scenes that I liked better in the book. It's not erotic in the sense of smut, but romantic over dirty. There's very little explicit content. This is a romance book that actually makes you think and there's more than just the sex. I read that this story started out as Twilight fanfiction. I'm not sure that's completely accurate, but I can definitely see some parallels.
Gabriel's Rapture by Sylvain Reynard

I knew going into this book that there were scenes that I was looking forward to reading. It didn't disappoint; however, I liked the changes that the movie had, too. There was so much in this book. There's romance, yet there's playful banter. There's sex, but it's not dirty or smutty. It's a romance book with substantial substance.
Gabriel's Redemption by Sylvain Reynard

This book wrapped up several things in the series just perfectly. I don't have any complaints. I can't wait for the movie to drop hopefully later this year. Julia's character is very consistent throughout the books, but the growth and transformation of Gabriel is astonishing. He definitely keeps those quirks that we fell in love with in Inferno. There's just more depth to him now. Reynard actually wanted to end this series after Rapture. I can see how it would have been fine, but I appreciate how this book wraps it up. I'll be interested in reading the fourth book. I hope this series isn't drawn out just for the sake of it.
