Afters years of neglecting Supergirl in the comics, Tom King prioritizes Kara Zor-El’s character development from the perspective of her travel companion, Ruthye. King’s emotional realism and his literary writing combine to make this comic a wholesome but powerful story.

The writer touches on nationalism, post-war childhood, and how this connects to the corruption or salvation of the soul. This book is a great option to start with this author as it completely embodies Mishima’s unique perspective on the world.
