Idk why this book took me forever to read when I was able to plow through the good girls guide to murder trilogy so fast - but the pacing was the main thing I didn’t love. You’d think that a book that takes place in a singular location within an 8hr time frame would be a quick read.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 24%.
If you want to read a book with a complicated/nonsensical/illogical world building & magic system with bland characters, poor dialogue (I guess anything passes for “banter” according to TikTok), a writing style that made me want to tear my hair out, & a major plot point that’s a direct rip-off of the Hunger Games - you’ll love this! I however did not!
