Great book sbout how obsession and anxiety can take over your life.
Interesting to read how the main character slowly goes insane over his own obsessions and how they go from innocent to very big and consequental. It's starts with a fairly innocent mouth connection, but then slowly the main character moves to having to hang Lena because that is logical next step for the mental mapping of associations he has made.
Phew, what a ride. I'  interested to read the interpretations of scholars for thid book. In sum, very original book, not many books are written like this!

One of the first books in awhile that I read in one sitting. It was a nice break from my usual reading. The book itself was fine, nothing too brilliant, but a nice read nonetheless.

The book was quite slow at first and because the narrative constantly goes back and forth in time, the beginning was a bit difficult to get through. But the end made up for everything. It was beautifully executed and magical almost. This is the second Powers book I've read, and again this one did not dissapoint.

Cold. So cold.
Sad book, but well written and once you get into it, you get completely absorbed by the flow of the book.

Beste boek dat ik in een tijdje hen gelezen. Je kan er helemaal in weg zinken en de wereld om je heen vergeten!

A refreshing, relaxing and wholesome read after the end of the academic year. I lreally enjoyed reading this and not having to think smart thoughts about this book!
