A beautifully told non-fiction children's book. I was a tad too old for the target audience when I found this book, but I read it and fell in-love nonetheless. I am definitely going to be buying this book for my collection.

A sort of continuation to Lord's first book about the sinking of the Titanic, "A Night To Remember". Lord wrote this book after the discovery of the wreck proved that the ship did, in fact, and contrary to popular belief, break in half as she was sinking. Lord is a great writer, and this is a great book.

A great book. My edition was given to me as a graduation present from the teachers at my high school, who knew of my love of Shakespeare and that I was going to be an English Lit major in college, they all wrote great things to me in the front of the book. It is one of my most prized possessions.

It's a well told story, but that is all it is, a story. If you are trying to find out as much about Elizabeth Short as you can, then read this book. Otherwise, I'd leave it.

An interesting take on the story of Elizabeth Short (aka the Black Dahlia). Ellroy is a good storyteller, but the story sometimes gets too convoluted for it's own good.

A good, solid, fictional book dealing with the murder of Elizabeth Short aka the Black Dahlia. Better, in my opinion, than the more well-known James Ellroy book "The Black Dahlia".
