This was so close to being 4 stars. It was predictable and a little mediocre up until the last 5 chapters, which were incredible.

The magic system is very interesting and the story is very easy to get into.

This was such an immersive read. I felt like I was really there. It was terrifying and brutal, but still very interesting.

I did not enjoy this book as much as I thought I would. The writing style was a confusing mess and I didn’t know what was going on half the time. The ending felt rushed.

Another fun romp through the day to day life of Alex and her friends at Akarnae. The middle section was kind of slow for me, but it did pick up again and ended with a shocking twist of events.

This was a fun read. Mainly about her day to day life in a magic school, with some adventures.

I found this one to be a bit of a slog to get through. Not much going on.

A beautiful ending to a very tense and thrilling trilogy. I loved the two POV’s of Lei and Wren, and getting to see both sides of their journey.

I read this book as a teen, so this is a reread. I loved it then and I loved it now. I gave it 4 stars because the writing style is very abrupt and it took me a few chapters to get past it. Then we also have the “out of nowhere” love story. But, overall, it was a fun read.
