i really want to say that i enjoyed this book but i just couldnt get into it. i thought it was very good and was intrigued that it wasn’t a metaphorical henna war but i just think this one wasnt for me.

i got this book on release day but it took me AGES to read!! i dont think thats a criticism on james but instead just me not being in the right mindset, i ended up having to finish the book as an audiobook because i was having such a hard time

obviously this book was absolutely hilarious and i definitely got a few looks in public trying to stifle my laughs

if you are a fan of james acaster’s style of comedy particularly some of his fictitious personas this book is definitely a brilliant read but id take the actual advice element with a grain of salt

i have to say im a bit disappointed it isn’t actually his genuine perspective on the situation but i knew what it was going into it and its a good book for what it is

I think I’ve been doing friendship wrong. This book made me feel overwhelmingly young and made me believe I’ve never truly loved anyone or been loved.

i read this book after watching the show and found it just as captivating. the diary format made it easy to pick up and had my flying through it.

it sheds light to things i wouldve never otherwise considered and at moments provided a good laugh.

ill be sure to read more by adam kay in the future.
