Loved it! I'd be interested to have a guy read it and see if it's too "girly" or if it portrays a man's feelings in this situation. Anyway, well written and loved the story.

There's something about a good portrayal of women in the south that makes you proud to be a woman - no matter how quirky you are.
Loved the characters and thought the story was charming.

A fascinating insight into Korea. How narrow we westerners are that we lump Asians together when they not only are completely different, but even dislike each other (Japanese and Korean relations are NOT good in this novel). It's a wonderful portrayal of the differences in the culture and attitudes.
Definitely an interesting read if you're interested in Korea and it's culture.

I really enjoyed this - the characters sort of seemed a bit contrived at times, so she could get her research all into the story, but I found it educational and liked the characters.

I really enjoyed this book. I know, the main character is not always likable, she's flawed, but honestly that's why you kind of like her. I think the story is more fiction than "tell-all" but it was fun and I honestly laughed out loud at more parts than not (I mean really, wouldn't you have mixed feelings about your boss who fired you getting his face bitten off by an aligator?).
Cute, fun, fluffy read!
