Loved Lotus's story. This book made me cry, but it was totally worth the tears.

Just the right mix of humor and romance to keep the pages turning.

The perfect book to get me in a spooky mood to finish my own haunted house romance (while being absolutely nothing like my story at all.)

The way these two talked to each other, the lock picking, the mythology. Perfection.

My biggest take away from this book is the way Kendi learned and assimilated from those around him to constantly shape and reshape his ideas. Don't shy away from listening to marginalized voices. Listen. Learn. Act.

A bit of a slow start for me, but a lovely pay off.

Insightful, but not as radical as I was expecting.
