"Johnny forgets things. But I remember."

This is a fast-paced sapphic horror novella that grips you from start to finish. A fever dream I never wanted to end, beautifully written. I am now officially obsessed with Rae Wilde.

My favorite detail: If you look closely, there's a hidden story within the story.

Although, I enjoyed the premise and poetic nature of this novella, I don't think it should be advertised as a standalone. I felt lost at times and think I would have enjoyed this story more if I had been introduced to the characters properly in the previous novella.

I will be checking out more of Nghi Vo's work, as I did enjoy her writing style.

I just know I'm going to hear Andrew Eiden say, "At dark, I become loathsome," in my dreams for weeks! šŸ˜‚ He truly brought this grim poetry to life. I'll be adding more stories narrated by him to my TBR.

Eric LaRocca has been on my radar for a while. When I saw the cover of this book, I knew I had to start my journey with this one. I finished this audiobook in one sitting; there was no way I was walking away once I was immersed in this story. It oozes grief, touching on themes of mourning, mental health struggles, and self-identity acceptance. My only complaint: I felt something was missing in the final moments of Ashley with his wife, when those with his son were poetic.

If you enjoy audiobooks and horror reads, I highly recommend this one. However, do check the āŒTWsāŒ, as it is a dark read that really makes you reflect on the subjects of loss and grief.

Thank you NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for the ALC!

This is going to be in my top three reads of 2025. In all honesty, it might even be THE top read of the 2025 for me (it's only January, I know). This book is everything to me, I haven't felt this drawn to a book in years.

You get magic, alchemy, fae, vampires, a badass FMC, politics, and the perfect amount of world-building.

Tropes? My two favorite, enemies to lovers and a slow burn. The banter between Saeris and Kingfisher is what I need in every single romantasy I read for the rest of my days. Xaden sir, you have some tight competition for the top shadow daddy position. I think Fisher might have just risen to #1 shadow daddy in my heart.

Beautifully done, Callie; you have a fan for life.

This is the second book of the Twisted Kings series but can be read as a standalone. I hadn't read the first book, but after reading Ghost, I couldn't download Steel fast enough!

This was my first MC romance, and it definitely won't be my last. I love the mix of action and broody men who are willing to protect their club and the women they love at all costs. Ghost, our MMC, is a hacker healing from some past trauma who has vowed to not let anyone in-until Luna enters his life. Luna, the FMC, is a badass gamer girl who also happens to be an excellent hacker. I enjoyed their dynamic and the secret obsession they have for each other. The story is perfectly balanced with spice, along with intriguing plot twists and turns.

Thank you Eva and The Author Agency for the ARC!
