Pulls you in

The book definitely is one that you can’t put down and it has twists, but at the halfway point it gets weird for me. I had invested in it by the halfway point, but I don’t really care where it went from there.

Not satisfied with it in the end and can’t decide if I wasted my time. But still well written. But I wouldn’t recommend this to others.

The book was good, but it felt so unfinished that it was unsatisfying. I don’t think I’ll read another book by Ruth Ware. I’m less than impressed.

Meh. Just okay. Kept my attention, but there were some rough inconsistencies with the plot and the characters were kind of blah. I also saw the big twist coming from a mile away.

This book is so relevant for today. Rape permeates our culture and I love how real and raw this author goes into how much it affects everyone.

The story’s different sections and viewpoints was fantastic. I couldn’t put this down. Recommend 100%. Loved.

As a lover of The Gothic Novel, this book was pure genius. The author knew her tropes and used them to spin such a glorious tale. I felt hints of Wuthering Heights mixed with the horrors of Frankenstein mixed with the voice of a tale.

I savored this book. The writing was superb, her details delicious. It was horrifying and gruesome and picturesque.

Best book I’ve read in a long time.

No words. This one was like eating candy that’s awful for you but you can’t stop. Great book.

I was enjoying it up until the twist. There were times where the protagonist drove me crazy, but then that twist just ruined all of it.

Disappointed.
