Twinkle, Twinkle, Daytime Star by Elizabeth Everett

I won this book through a The StoryGraph giveaway and it was just so lovely. It’s a wonderful way to explain the Sun to a young audience and while my son was just a liiiiittle too young to fully grasp it, he understood enough. The illustrations are also so well drawn and some of my favorites from kids books.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC!
This book is written well and had the marks of a fantastic read but sadly the oblivious FMC was too much for me.

3.25
Rating varied from 3-3.5 stars so I settled on 3.25 for StoryGraph. The FMC caused me way too much secondhand embarrassment from her lack of critical thinking where I had to put the book down to take time away or I was risking DNF-ing. The food descriptions were phenomenal and the ending was the best outcome for everyone.
Moderate: Bullying and Sexual content
There’s minor revenge porn mention and one non-binary character talks about their pronouns being ignored.
