I wanted this to be better than it was.

I've decided to re-read the whole Alex Cross series, in order. This really set the series up well.

It was okay, kind of silly.

I don't know much about cheese but this book made me want to run out and buy a lot of different types. A little long, but fun.

This is a very promising story, interesting characters, great strong female protagonists. But the writing is really not very good, which is a shame. The dialogue is silly. Not bad enough to keep me from reading the rest of the trilogy, of course.

I have enjoyed the Bright's Pond series but this one was a bit unstructured. It just didn't gel as well as the first two books did. Great characters with great names, interesting stories. Just kind of all over the place.

I'd give this 2.5 stars if I could; it is better than the first in the series. More action, less about the people. It does annoy me that they still have power, though, for some reason. And they dont' seem at all worried that some day the power is just going to go out and not come back on. Looking forward to book 3 though - and finding out if the zombies win or not.

I'm surprised it took this many books to get into Middle East terrorists. This was definitely not the best book in the series. I really found it hard to believe Alex would have been involved in the terrorist plot at all, and I didn't believe for a second they had anything to do with the kidnapping.

Another book I wanted to like more than I did. It was a page turner but it was pretty easy to figure out what was going to happen at the end.

The writing still isn't great but I really liked the story and the way it ended.
