The story got better towards the end, and I might even say the ending felt too abrupt — however, the book as a whole should have been much more concise. Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World was a lot better in my opinion, the fictional city in this book gave me nothing new.

I've never been this entertained by any play — dare I say this one immediately became my favourite Shakespeare!

It's been almost 10 years since I last read this book and I didn't expect it to give me this much nostalgia and comfort. However, this book is also unnecessarily long, and too many of its conflicts were childish and could have been easily avoided.

The pacing was kinda uneven, the story either drags or bombards you with plot twists. I never really grew a liking for any of the characters, but the story was still good fun and managed to distract me from reality. I liked the middle part the most.

Boring, rambling, unnecessarily long and detailed, the sentences are a kilometre long each yet they don't take you anywhere. Except maybe to return this book back to the library. Would never recommend this to anyone, unless they liked dusty musty crusty rich old white men.
