WHY I READ THIS BOOK
I read this book due it was a buddy read on a server I am in, I had read the whole Shadow and Bone Trilogy, which I was not much a fan of, and I am hoping this one is better then the three of them but I this its going to be unlikely.

THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS
I feel like I am forcing myself to read this book. A 100 pages in and nothing seems interesting to catching my eyes at all. A 100 pages in and I am still trying to understand what is going on, all I can understand is that they had recued this Matthias person from prison. There so many characters that I am not keeping up with who is who. I know there is four main characters in total. Inej is my favorite pov read. As she is a very interesting character to read about. I am on the last 100 pages of the book and yet, again I am not enjoying it at all. Still trying to understand what is going on within the book itself. And I feel that the Girshaverse seires is not for me, but I am pushing myself to read it all, just to simply say I had managed to read it all. The star rate is going to be 2, the reason is because I had read it and put effort to read it otherwise, not my fav.

Part 1 Chapter 1: Everything seems confusing, I am introduced to so many characters at once, that I am not even sure what is happening around me.
Part 1 Chapter 2: || As continuing to read this book all I still see if confusion, as things are quite rushed. Like it's not giving you time to introduce the character perspective properly. ||
Part 1 Chapter 3: || Page 45, A ghost with a syringe? That bit was hilarious. Yet, I still do feel confused, and once again I am feeling like I am pushing myself to read this. I had seen a lot had said after a 100 pages or so the story itself starts to pick up. ||
Part 2 Chapter 8 || So far reading to this chapter, I really have nothing to say, but things are slowly getting interesting so to say, yet I still cannot keep up with the same three to four characters that are on each page. ||
Part 2 Chapter 11 || Page after page this book is being filled up by actions scenes, and I am not sure if I am even enjoying it or being disappointed in it. ||
Part 2 Chapter 12 || Inej is by far my favorite pov to read. ||
Part 2 Chapter 14 || Matthias, just kiss Nina for the love of everything holy just kiss. I got a feeling these two will end up together, the enemies to friend or enemies to lovers. ||

Finished the Book, here is my short OBC Review.
Once more my high acceptations were squashed, I thought this read would be different then Shadow and Bone Trilogy but it felt somewhat the same or worse. Reading throughout the book, I could not comprehend what is going on half of the time, like a lot of things where rushed like the introduction of the characters and the stories. I had even ended up skim reading most of the parts in the book. I either fear the maybe the writing style of Leigh Bardugo I am not enjoying or just the Grishaverse books. Yet I am hoping at least within the series of the Girshaverse a book is bound to be good.

THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS
My feelings towards the book are okay, nothing too exciting or anything else, I had tought it would have romance, but I can tell while reading this is has a slow burn romance within it or maybe in the second book there will be a somewhat romance. Also, what I had taken notice is the book had quite the same vibes as The Cruel Prince.
All the characters were interesting to read, and all were engaging however the food description was mouth-watering. Along with the street names and Locations, I really enjoyed seeing those the most in the story. Yet, I am quite curious to explore more in-depth about the locations in Hell maybe in the second book it will be explored?

Once again Todoroki steals my heart. It also hits different when you watch the anime and read the manga and the big moment where Toga and Dabi are going to have their big introduction and moment. I also now get why a lot of people in the Fandom head cannon Shigaraki is a gamer type. Not sure if its cannon but it does look cannon to me here.

After Dark by Haruki Murakami

In the meantime as I am reading Kafka on the Shore I had decided to start After Dark another work of Murakami. Which I am quite enjoying his works so far. They are intriguing and deep diving that you do not get lost whilst reading them but get super immersed into the author writing of the book itself.
I am enjoying the multiple chapters that take place in different point of views and over different people in the story itself, that feels like you are reading small stories.
My favrioute parts of the story is where Eri Asai shows up along with the mysterious man in the TV, the mystery and the suspense of what is going on was killing me all the time. And how all of that is even possible.
Last or not least what was that ending?!?! Like…who is that man in the TV and will Eri escape and did her little sister end up with the same fate as her?!?!?!

Collen Hoover did it once again!
Starting this book I already tought something is up, with already a death scene involved yet, I found this book not alike to the other books I had so far read by Collen Hoover, this feels like a fresh air feel to it. I was all so keep thinking that Jeremy was doing something suspicious but the more I read the side of Verity the more disturbed I became, yet I can tell that this books is another good read for 2022. So far there has been a few less books that had disappointed me.
Even the book itself was quite hard to put down, due that each time I wanted to continue my other current read, I kept reaching towards the book and wanting to know more and want to reach the ending and want to see how everything ties everything together in the end and how it ends. Also the amount of times I yelled at Lowen to stop thinking romantic feelings and being a horn dog towards Jeremy was unbelievable. But reading towards the end the plot twist after the plot twist! LIKE OMFG BOTH LOWEN AND JEREMY WHERE VILLIANS IN THE STORIES BUT MORE JEREMY in this situation. BUT WHO THE FUCK KNOW IF JEREMY WAS THE VILLIAN IN THE END OR VERITY HERSELF!.

Chapter 1: Reading the first page of the story and we already starting with a big bang. Also I got a feeling that Lowen is going to meet Jeremy real soon, since both have a meeting funnily enough.
Side Note - main character name is Lowen, second character name is Jeremy. Another character Corey
Chapter 4: Okey the part where she found the teeth marks on the top edge of the headboard is either they do so freaky stuff in the bedroom or a huge red flag and huge warning that something is not right here.
The ‘So Be It’ Chapters:
Chapter One: I love Verity and how different she is from the main character Lowen. They are the polar opposite of each other.
Chapter 6: I got a feeling that Verity herself is either not that seriously injured or simply playing a part, I am not sure. But the way that Lowen is seeing things, Its making me question things like when April said she left the tv on for her but in truth it was not. I found it a bit suspicious.
The ‘So Be It’ Chapters: Chapter Three: Reading this chapter I am seeing a dark side to Verity, and almost dark narcissist side of hers? And the way she talked about her mother and how she described her, and currently doing the same thing to the un-born twins. Also she is a bit over obsessed with Jeremy, that I fear in the current time line she id gonna wake up from the bad and do something to Lowen. Unsure I could be wrong.
Chapter 15: Girl stop falling in love with Jeremy, I got a feeling something tragic is gonna happen!
The ‘So Be It’ Chapters: Chapter Nine: Verity he is upset because all you care about is about Chastin! Also I hate the word douche in books, it makes me cringe. Verity! - Jeez the amount of times I want to call you a bitch. OF COURSE HE IS GOING TO NOTICE, he ain’t no idiot!
Chapter 16: Lowen stop being a horndog! Either you say fuk it and jump his bones or you do not! And Jeremy I know you haven’t had any action in a while but for the love of the unholy, stop leading on. Its obvious what you want to do! But reminder you got a wife, upstairs! A CRAZY WIFE I might add. The Birthday scene is cute I can give you that. NOOOOOO you two did not just do that noooo. YOU GOT A WIFE UPSTAIRS. SIR. SIIIRRRR! I also got a feeling that somehow Verity will know or just appears out of no where…..never mind…I spoke way too soon into this.
Chapter 18: GRUL YOU ARE SCENTENCING YOUR OWN DEATH WARRANT HERE! Also kudos to Verity for a really good job of acting to this point because if I heard that shit spewing out of someone else mouth I would have kicked them like a football.
Chapter 23: Lowen you did not just suggest murder! LOWEN BAD BAD, JEREMEY BAD FOR HEARING HER AND DOING THAT ASWELL BAD!!
Chapter 24 + the letter: OMFG you pregers! OMFG… THE FUCKING PLOT TWIST OF THIS SHIT OMFG LOWEN YOU BASICLY KILLED AN INNOCENT FUCKING PERSON?!?!?!?!?!!? OMFG I CAN’T I CAN’T. I regret all the bad words I said about Verity. But seriously tou? You should have said from the beginning of the autobiography that it was all work of fiction or an explanation or at least towards the end of it? hmm could have been unfinished work so nvm. OMFG ANOTHER PLOT TWIST! I know something was sus about Jeremy. He tried to kill you twice!!! OMFG I AM TRULY SORRY FOR WHAT i TOLD YOU VERITY!!! Wait back tracking so Jeremy know about that manuscript from the bloody start? But Lowen just basically went like, look she moves I have proof. Jeremy- I HAVE BEEN FOOLED and boom killed her. but still Lowen is still an accomplice in this shit.

It felt like an a real treat and reward. I had really enjoyed this book beyond relief. And the mystery of the ending is still a cling on to me that I want a second books of this with the full perspective of Verity herself to see if all she did was true or not.
