Wes was a sweet baby angel and I almost got real upset at Ava at the end but I’m so glad she turned around!!
This series continues to be so heartwarming and picturesque, perfect for a low angst country/cowboy era!

I had high expectations for this black cowboy romance series, especially since I’ve read a couple of books by this author and liked them but unfortunately it felt flat for me. Overall the cowboy brothers were fine as hell and gentlemen but all the other aspects of this book for me just lacked complexity which rendered the book at times boring. It’s a shame but I might try reading Jesse‘s book since he seemed like a wonderful character.

It’s with this book and others like it in mind that I stand by the fact that fiction books has taught me so much more about myself and life than any non fiction books ever could. Frankly, they could never give me so much hope and love like this book did. This book made me sure(r) that God is a woman and the divine feminine is so present and vibrant if we just reach out and access it. That resilience is our biggest asset and that quote about “everything they knew about love being from their female relationships” could not truer. I truly pray that I’m able to find my girl, my group, my people, that i can rely on and stand by just like Soledad did in this book. I’m in awe of Kennedy Ryan’s mind and how expertly she tells stories that feel so deeply personal and real.

No notes, just inspired to do more, be greater, keep moving, and most importantly, keep loving.
