So good to be back with Fitz and the others (although I am sad to leave behind Bingtown). This book felt very much like the first book in a trilogy, quite slow at times, but clearly establishing themes and building up to something. I am excited for what to come. (This was the first book that made me cry in quite a long time)

I liked to read about the research results, however I didn’t really see that ADHD was incorporated so much into the „tips“ that were given later in the back. It was nice nonetheless, but was a bit dragging at some parts.

Not sure how to feel about this one! The first hour was quite slow and I thought I might DNF, but after that it got quite interesting. There are quite some subplots, and some questions left open for me. I was expecting a „The Overstory“ kind of book, which this wasn‘t for me. The main character was not exactly likeable for me.

It was nice to delve deeper into these complex characters and the lore of the elderlings realm. It is quite a long book but I felt like the plot was consistently going with the same pace. Can‘t wait to find out what happens next!

I really liked the idea of this book, especially the idea of how the silverbars work. I thoroughly enjoyed the first half, I am not so sure how I feel about the second half, but I was definitely engaged and wanted to know what would happen.
A word about the audiobook: the narrators did a good job, I liked the different narrator for the footnotes. However especially in the first half of it the audio mix was horrible, you can clearly tell when a sentence has been edited. Sometimes I thought that there were like 4 people saying just one sentence, which took me completely out of the story. Fortunately this got better in the second half, but it was surprising to hear in a professional production.
