I was glad to find this book that is supposed to be canon for what happened to Ahsoka between the time of her leaving the Jedi and reappearing as Fulcrum. Although I enjoyed the story I felt like the story didn't fully utilize its potential.

This being the second book in the new "Archer" series by one of my favorite authors, David Baldacci, is even better than the first in my opinion. A refreshing new setting and writing style done in the vein of a 1950's gumshoe novel. I guess you could say that old is new again. This is great storytelling. The audiobook version is voice acted superbly for the setting.

Even better...

When I first read this book a few decades ago, I enjoyed it and went on to read the rest of Chronicles, Legends, and several other in the Dragonlance series. Now, all these years later with many life experiences, this second time around I enjoyed this even more. A group of friends from many different walks of life, some of whom don't get along so well, some of whom are family, or are like family, but they all look out for each other regardless. This reminds me of what it's like to have a group of loyal friends in your adult life.

Little / Big Bear

Although this book was not among my core genres, I'm very glad that I read it. I believe most anyone would enjoy this book. There are parts where you will need a tissue box handy, especially the last couple of chapters. Whether they are tears of happiness, or of sadness, or both, I'll not reveal.
Audiobook version: great narration, excellent voice acting.
