Maybe more like a 3,5. Less stars because Kate couldn't quit whining about the same thing over and over again. The story on itself was fun though, kept me reading because I wanted to know how it would end. I'm curious for what will happen in the next book, but it might take a while before I'll pick it up.

3.5 stars. I kind of expected to hate this book because of all the negative reviews I read of this book, but that isn't true. I thought the story was very interesting. There were a few things that i've seen before in young adult/dystopian books, but it didn't bother me too much. The plot was a little slow for me, it kind of felt like a build up for the next book in the series. A lot of the story is in Cassia's head and I noticed that I lost my attention for the book sometimes because of that. But in the end I did like it. I like Ally Condie's writing and the story was interesting enough. Not anything special, but enjoyable.

3.5 stars. I thought the build up was a little too long for my taste, but the ending was pretty exciting so that made up a little bit. It wasn't anything really special but just fun :). I'm still curious to read the next book, so it was good enough to do that. The ending wasn't a real cliffhanger but leaves the reader with some questions, I hope those will be answered in the next book.
