I found most of the characters extremely irritating and the plot line weak.

This final book in the trilogy was as good as, if not better, than the previous two. If that's at all possible.
Some really serious issues and their impact on the inhabitants of Bear Town are covered throughout the series, concluding - for good and bad - in this final book.
I absolutely loved this trilogy.

A dual timeline: 1999/2019 involving three sisters and a deeply buried secret. An enjoyable read.

When library assistant June's library is threatened with closure, the eccentric band of regular customers decide to get together to come up with a plan to stop the local council from succeeding.
A gentle, humourous and, at times, thought-provoking read.

It took quite a while to get into this story. I thought that a few of the characters could have been developed more.
The ending felt rushed and incomplete.

The lives of the inhabitants of  Pagford are laid bare in this novel by J.K. Rowling. The story revolves around the members of the Parish Council and their families.  The prejudice, snobbery, back-stabbing and malicious rumours that take place after the sudden death of one of the councillors lead to unforeseen consequences that will change lives forever.

Children, Cristabel, Flossie and Digby have an unconventional upbringing at Chilcombe Manor, including building a theatre out of the skeleton of a whale that has been washed up on the shore close by.
As the children grow into adults, WWll will see them going their separate ways. The impact of the war will change their lives forever.
The first half of the book was quite slow but it picked up pace in the second half.
