This book was a total hidden gem for me! I absolutely loved the spice and banter between the characters and the way that the author just created bold and willing people when tension would have typically been building forever. They all dove in head first and it made for an awesome first book. And the mystery aspect is really good too! A bit random in terms of how it all fits together so far but I’m certainly hooked.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 10%.
I gave this book a good chance and a fresh start because I did read like 1.5 of the books in the first series. But same issues with characters that seems all over the place and a very messy and chaotic writing style. I love the concept but the execution just isn’t very good.

Super cute monster romance! Perfect for the Valentines Day season. Wren and Zinnia have such fun banter between them and their chemistry is off the charts! Great representation, a fun setting and a cute premise. Definitely enjoyed this one.

Roman and iris are great but the fantasy elements of this book aren’t really that good. This could have been rewritten as a romance with magical realism and I would have liked it more.

This book had a mix of two things that make it hard to rate. Epic as hell battle scenes that made me obsessed and gave the 5 star feeling but then hella side quests that took up too much time and space and made me bored. So I feel like 4 stars is good but man oh man do these cliffhangers keep getting me!

A bit slow at times just because it’s very similar stories over and over but it is a poignant discussion on how we are truly unprepared for the impacts of climate change.
