Loved the illustrations.
I however have a couple grievances regarding The information given and was surprised it didn’t mention the Slender Man regarding the internet ghosts or Victor Hugo as a well known table tapping enthusiasm.
It will however make an excellent starting point when it comes to the Paranormal, the people who believe and the way they share their stories.

If Potterian influences can be felt at first they are quickly overshadowed by Hendricks excellent writing and subtle calls to awareness when it comes to cultural appropriation and colorisme.
I enjoyed following Adia’s growth and I saw every plot twist coming let’s just say this is aimes at middle graders so I’d be pretty upset if I hadn’t. Furthermore the author actually adresses pretty serious conceptions in a fun and lighthearted way.
There are no flows in my opinion and I can’t wait to read the rest.

J’avais adoré le roman de Flore Vesco (mon favoris encore aujourd’hui) donc je savais que j’adorerais l’histoire de la BD mais en plus les illustrations sont sublimes !! Beaucoup d’infos données dans les différentes planches ce qui permets des dialogue épurés. Je pense qu’on peut rater quelques nuances si on a pas lu le roman mais le dessin apporte une telle atmosphère qu’ils serait dommage de ne pas se lancer sinon à pas lu le roman.
