In this second novel from author Rea Frey, we meet friends Lee and Grace who each have son’s; Mason and Luca. Mason suffers from Sensory Processing Disorder and Lee struggles with raising him. Noah is Grace’s friend who also helps Lee as Mason’s therapist. After a horrible accident on a girl’s trip, everyone’s lives are forever changed.

I was completely shocked by this book, as page by page things were not as they seemed. I believed I had the “twist” figured out about halfway through but I was completely wrong and couldn’t be happier that I was! Every time I thought I had everything in place there was another shock. The writing is brilliant, as you can’t tell friend from foe, right from wrong. This will definitely be a highly recommended read from me!

Jojo Ahmadi is the daughter of the police chief and 911 dispatcher. When she finds herself needing 911, her mother is literally the one to answer the call that will change their lives forever.

This book was fast paced and full of suspenseful twists and turns. The author certainly knows how to write strong women who don’t back down or leave the “heavy lifting” to the men, which is much appreciated. While the ending left a little to be desired, it was certainly a worth-while read and engaging thriller which will be recommended by myself.
